Nashan
Nashan
- Homeworld: Votum II
- Creature Type: Unknown, speculated to be Monstrous Humanoid
- Information: A recently discovered race once native to the now desolate star system of Votum. Alleged to possess intense psionic abilities and highly advanced alchemical technology, they were also a deeply spiritual people. Aside from this, little else is known about them, as evidence on the Nashan is exceedingly scarce.
The Nashan people lived roughly 1400 years ago, primarily on the planet now called Votum II, in the Votum star system. It is speculated that they had unimaginable psionic abilities allowing them to directly influence the movements of celestial bodies.
What happened to the Nashan is uncertain, as there are relatively no Nashan remains. The few that have been found have been badly damaged by years of radiation exposure, but scientists believe that the Nashan were a race genetically similar to that of the Rovarri. They were speculated to stand about 6 to 7 feet tall, with many features similar to the Rovarri. Skeletal remains that have been recover have proven that they had a bone structure composed primarily of copper.
Most recently, it was uncovered by Tesla Soldat that the Nashan people were highly spiritual, practicing a religion that is best described as being a monotheistic duality with heavy animistic principles behind it. They revered stars, and were apparently directed by a sexless papal class called Star Speakers.
Although there is little valid information, it is suggested that one of these Star Speakers, referred to as Naar led to the downfall of the Nashan in an event that may be responsible for the destruction of the second sun of the Votum system. Furthermore, it is heavily implied by remaining information within the archives of Votum II that the Nashan left their world in some sort of transcendental migration.
